    I never knew you personally, but i have been reading your blog ever since i read about your story in the papers, and its really inspiring, as many people have probably already said. I wish i had known about your journey earlier, as i had a loved one who passed on from cancer too recently and i could have learnt so many things from you.
    My deepest condolences to Molly’s family. Don’t be overly grievous that Molly’s journey through life is over. Be grateful that it happened and that she touched so many lives. I hope she is in a better place without any more pain now.

    Hello Josef, I am actually happy Molly is in a happy place now. My brother was diagnosed with colonrectal cancer in February, and we are in the midst of dealing with his various stages of coping, from denial to anger. I am trying to get him to blog, to get his mind off the invasive treaments. I learnt much from your wife’s writings, both technical and spiritual. Am I angry with God? Yes, but Molly’s positive attitude comes to mind and it soothes the pain.

    I was lost and I cried when I heard the news.

    I am one of the finalists of SWA. We sat at the same table at the Gala Dinner. My other half went over to you after the dinner to express his admiration for your faith and strength to battle cancer with Molly as he knows how much it takes for a caregiver and a loved one to cope with watching your love battles the illness in pain because he fought the same battle with me 2 years ago.

    It’s a very touching blog indeed.

    Had a flash of thoughts that I just wanted to end my life. Meaningless and sick of all the back-stap, irresponsible and unnecessary stress by both family member and at work. I guess the worst comes from immediate family. Hypocrites even present in your immediate family is the most pathetic thing that ever happened.

    Dear Josef,

    Do not be despair and upset for you know that this is a calling from the GOD that she will be in a heavenly home.

    I’ve just lost my gf..She left on 11th Feb 2008 few months back. It was terrible for especially for me and her family memebers. She left at a young age of 22 yrs old fight the war for a short period of 1 yrs and 2 months. I’m still working on it to move on with life.

    Josef i will pray for you and family.

    Allow me to share with you about story about this child and a father. There is a father and a child staying in a hill top. Whenever he wanted to travel to town he will need to travel through the woods to get stuff. They always have many great stroll from their home through the woods heading for town. Then there was a time when the child fell sick that almost couldn’t hold on anymore..The child loving father carry him on the shoulder heading for town to see a Dr urgently. On the way the child fallen asleep, but when the child woke up it was amazing it was a totally different place with clouds just within touch, rainbows beside , angels around the child. The father was not seen together with the child. Point of story she had left for a heavenly place. Physically she’s not around her soul are still alive but currently with GOD.

    I came to know about your wife’s courageous fight with cancer and this blog through the newspapers. I feel sad to read about the passing away of this wonderful woman who has helped touch the lives of many women and others as well. I sort of wished she would be with us for many more years, to continue with her work of inspiring and encouraging women with similiar conditions.

    It’s reassuring to hear you intend to continue her good work. As a guy who’s concerned about all those suffering from cancer, I salute you and hope you will continue to be strong for both hers and your own sake, not forgetting all your loved ones too.

    I believe you can do it, Josef, even though I don’t know you at all. Because your wife’s spirit of courage and hope will guide you to do much more to help all who are in pain, for as long as you live.

    Hey Molly,

    I am so sad that I did not get to see your blog earlier or read about you earlier, but I am happy for you - because right now, you are in the arms of the LORD. The pain is finally gone and you are whole again in Heaven. The worse has passed and you have an eternity to enjoy.

    I don’t have cancer, but I have lost many that I’ve loved to that horrible disease. Most of the time, they went first without saying goodbye. I don’t have cancer, but I empathise with your family and Josef & what they must feel right now.

    I don’t know Josef or your family, but I imagine they must be wishing that they could hear your voice one more time, see you smile once more. I felt that way when I lsot my grandma to colorectal cancer. I was in England when she passed on, and for 2 weeks nobody in my family dared to tell me. They knew how close I was to her. It was hard to imagine life without her, and sometimes I struggle to remember how her eyes crinkled when she smiled, or how her voice and laughter sounded like. I am happy for her, like I am for you though - because she is somewhere better right now, and one day my son, my husband and I will get to see her again. I can introduce my two guys to her, and I know her eyes will light up to see me. I wonder if I can recognise her then, she will be youthful again and beautiful.

    I know your loved ones might be “homesick” for you right now, but that they will overcome the grief they feel because you live on in them and on all the women you have helped to strengthen through your encouragement and sharings.

    You haven’t really said goodbye forever; just for a little while. We haven’t lost you, you have just gone ahead first to get to meet Jesus. Someday, Josef and your family and yourself will be together again.

    I can’t wait to see you someday in Heaven. I hope to meet you then, and tell you what a blessing you have been to many women. But whilst I am here, I hope to bless the lives of others too; by encouraging them on a downbeat day, or when it feels like the weight of the world is breaking their heart.

    You are an inspiration. Your time here, though short, has done much more than many who have lived for longer.

    You will always be a survivor and you’ve lit up so many hearts and given us reasons to hang on and be a survivor like you - whatever the problems or trials we go through (cancer or not).

    May the LORD bless Josef with strength to praise Him through the storm of emotions that he is going through right now, and give Him spirit eyes to see beyond the flesh - to know that Molly is not dead, but much more alive than she could ever be on this earth.

    My wife is a regular reader of Molly’s blog … she has always updated me about Molly … … somehow Molly has became a friend to her. We are both inspired by Molly’s sharing and really hope that God will work things out for her. Through Molly’s struggles, we have a deeper understanding of what life is and what living is all about. I saw my wife cried as she read Molly’s blog just now…I am dumbfounded when I heard that Molly is gone. Nonetheless, to us, she will always be a fond memory and living testimony.     Goodbye for now my dear friend. Thank you.
    It took me sometime to find the courage to write here, for it seems so final. Saying goodbye to you yesterday was the most difficult. It seems unreal. However, I know you are now in a better place.
    Please don’t worry about us, we will remember your wonderwomen Spirit and fight till the end. We will be alright, till we see you again.
    I will miss you, and your sms. Thank you for telling me that I was a friend, not just another wonderwomen you know. Thank you for the lovely present , I will keep it well as a reminder to fight on , when I am feel I have no strength left.

    Dear Hui Li, Even though you have left us forever physically, you remain in a special place deep in our hearts. I will never forget the times you spent with mei mei, daddy, mummy and me… Eating at jumbo.. going shopping.. walking at the beach.. visiting us, it’s so sad that all these are not going to happen again..You are one of the strongest person i’ve ever met, even though you were diagnosed with cancer, you still remained strong and fought the cancer monster courageously. You even set up a website to help fellow women on their battle with cancer, you were a pillar of strength and a symbol of hope to these women. Other than time, i doubt that anything can ever fill the void that you’ve left for us to bear. Rest In Peace, Hui Li Jie. =) We will never forget you.
